What will happen if there is a blackout? Will the door drop on my head? How do I open the door with no power?
The powered doors can be operated manually in the event of a power outage. The control panel is provided with an emergency door opening key. An optional back-up battery can be provided to sustain the door drive and allow normal operation if the mains power is lost.

The key criterion is the fire resistance rating and, naturally, the installation requirements, or the clearance around the opening to be closed by the door. These two criteria determine the door type specification. We understand from experience that customers often confuse the E, EW and EI fire resistance ratings, and this is the primary driver of the installation requirements and the product price. Just as a reminder, (E) means fire integrity, (I) is fire insulation, and (W) means thermal radiation. These properties are measured with time (expressed in minutes).
